The Process

Do you provide menu tastings?
We are always pleased to offer our clients a complimentary menu tasting. An initial $50 per guest will be charged but will be deducted from your invoice upon signing of the event contract.
What is your event order minimum?
All off-site events have a minimum spend of $1500.00 before taxes and gratuity on weekdays. Our minimum spend varies according to your event date as follows: January – June – $2500.00 before taxes and gratuity Friday + Saturdays. July – December – $3500.00 before taxes and gratuity Friday + Saturdays.
Can you take care of my rental needs too?
Parties require many essential materials: glassware, serving plates, chairs, tables, linens, napkins, and cutlery, to name just a few. Whatever the need, we can take care of all the necessary rentals. That can also include complete set-up and take-down of your event. Our rental reservation fee is ten percent of the total cost of rentals – this includes rental insurance. We include rental insurance in all of our event proposals to protect the client from any additional breakage or rental costs after an event is complete.
Do you provide event staffing?
We always employ event personnel who are professional, well trained, well groomed, friendly and customer focused. A minimum event labour for each staff member will be billed to 3 hours. If in the event that staffing is required beyond a standard 7.5 hour shift, then the additional event labour will be billed at a standard 1.5 x per hour.
What do your services include on the day of my event?
Our services include the complete execution of your event:delivery, set-up, break-down, development of menus and quotes, staffing and all internal office and kitchen time required to ensure a seamless event. This is covered within our Operational Service Fee.
What if my event is outdoors or without a kitchen space?
If your event location is not well suited for cooking, Fork + Farm has all necessary cooking equipment on-hand, including tents, ovens, mobile hand washing, refrigeration and more. Even if you are in the middle of a field, your event will go off without a hitch.
When do I need to confirm the final number of guests attending my event? What if there’s a change to the number of guests?
A guaranteed number of guests is required 7 days prior to the event date. After this date, it is possible to increase, but not to decrease the guarantee. In the event of a decrease in attendees after the initial booking, a re-calculation of the estimate may be necessary. It may not always be possible to increase the guarantee less than 24 hours before the event.

Corporate Breakfasts & Lunches

Is there a guest minimum for my order?
Yes, our minimum order is 15 guests.
What if there’s a change to the number of guests?
If an increase is required, we will do our best to accommodate. Decreases are not permitted 24 hours prior to your catering delivery schedule.
How much notice do you require for orders?
We ask that all breakfast and lunch orders are placed by 11:00 AM the day prior to your catering requirements.
How will my payments be structured? When are they due?
Your final invoice will reflect confirmed menu selection, confirmed number of guests, rentals used, service hours worked and beverages consumed. Final payment is due immediately upon receipt of the final invoice or unless previous arrangements have been made with your Event Coordinator. Payment plans and/or special terms are available upon request.
What if I need to cancel my order?
Guest Counts of 50 or less – 24 hours before your event date is required. If less notice is given the invoice total will be charged. Guest counts of 51 or greater – 10 business days’ notice before your event date is required. If less notice is given 25% of the invoice total will be charged.

Booking, Payment, Cancellations

How does booking work?
We kindly request a 25% booking deposit of the approved estimate to secure your event reservation. An additional 50% deposit will be required no less the 10 business days prior to your event date.
How will my payments be structured? When are they due?
Your final invoice will reflect confirmed menu selection, confirmed number of guests, rentals used, service hours worked and beverages consumed. Final payment is due immediately upon receipt of the final invoice or unless previous arrangements have been made with your Event Coordinator. Payment plans and/or special terms are available upon request.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
In the event of cancellation of a booking, cancellation fees will be deducted from the deposit held and any balances owing in excess of the deposit held will be charged to the credit card on file or deducted off the refund amount. Cancellation fees will be based on the total estimated revenue for all food, beverage, facility, equipment and service requirements. Estimates will be based on the original booking or the most recent numbers confirmed, whichever is greater and will be levied as follows: *7 business days prior to the event or less – 100% of the event total*8 to 14 business days prior to the event – 75% of the event total*15 business days to one month prior to the event– 50% of the event total*31 days to 90 days prior to the event – 25% of the event total*91 days to 180 days prior to the event – 15% of the event total.
